Peer supports can do more then respond to crises, we can prevent them. We will explore how to create belonging on purpose using simple, repeatable practices that reduce isolation and strengthen recovery/mental wellness. Participants will leave with a practical framework for peers to return to.

About the event
Richard Pallay III, also known as 1PrettyRicky, is a nationally recognized DJ, entrepreneur, and co-owner of WEAREONE, a DJ collective and social agency based in Fargo, ND. Since 2013, he has performed at major venues and festivals, opened for artists including Ice Cube, Ludacris, and Chromeo, and curated events that blend music, culture, and community connection.
Richard is also in sustained recovery from compulsive gambling and has been clean since December 26, 2017. That lived experience reshaped how he understands identity, accountability, boundaries, and hope. Richard is also a ND certified Peer Support Specialist II, and he leads as a peer support who is practical, honest, and rooted in dignity.
He previously served in nonprofit leadership with the F5 Project before stepping away to pursue music full time. In 2025, he was awarded the Bush Fellowship for his work in succession planning, grassroots empowerment, and building community-led economic models. Richard’s…
