Andrea Hochhalter

MBA – Executive Director

Andrea Hochhalter is a co-founder and Executive Director of the Peer Support Alliance of North Dakota (PSAND). Trained as both a Peer Support Specialist and a Parent and Caregiver Peer Support Specialist, Andrea brings lived experience, deep passion for behavioral health, and a strong background in nonprofit leadership and organizational development. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and has decades of experience leading initiatives that strengthen organizations and empower communities.

Andrea currently serves on the North Dakota Behavioral Health Planning Council, a role she has held for more than six years, where she helps shape behavioral health priorities across the state.

In 2020, Andrea sustained a brain injury that profoundly shaped her journey and work. She shares:
"My brain injury in 2020 was something I never wanted, yet the process of recovery has given me strengths and perspectives I deeply value. It transformed me into the person I love being today."

Residing in Fargo, ND, Andrea treasures time with her family and channels both her professional expertise and personal resilience into advancing peer support as a recognized and valued profession across North Dakota.

ERIKA BRORBY

Implementation Consultant

Erika Brorby is an Implementation Consultant with the Peer Support Association of North Dakota (PSAND). She holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Social Work and a master’s in Social Work.

 

Erika is a certified care coordinator and has spent much of her career in the helping profession, supporting youth, families, and individuals on their mental health and recovery journeys. She’s passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate challenges and celebrate growth.

 

Outside of work, Erika loves to travel—especially with her three kids—soaking up local culture, golfing, camping, and spending time near the ocean whenever she can.
